Band Profiles
Kirk Boulton - Drums
Kirk joined Long in The Tooth tens years ago after been recruited like Jono from the Buxton based Rockabilly, Rock and Blues cover band The Rattlers. It is here that the High Peaks power house rock rhythm partnership was forged with Jono on Bass. He is now forming a new rhythm partnership with Duncan.
Playing drums for many years (he won’t admit to how long) in many local punk and rock cover bands, Kirk (The Kirkster) has developed his powerful technique, a technique developed from his early days with the punk band H2 SO4, moving on to Rock covers with Croaka, and eventually with a band called The Force. They where offered a UK tour but the guitarist got his priorities mixed up and got married instead! So it was that in 1999 Kirk reunited with his rhythm twin Jono in Long in The Tooth.

Musical Influences
Kirk says he has been influenced by many bands over the years from The Damned (massive fan seeing them many times) to Muse. In his youth he loved Echo and The Bunnymen and was very impressed when he saw Queen live back in the distant days of the Seventies. He has attended countless gigs over the years and though always raving about ‘The Maiden’ live experience has been bowled over in the last year or so by AC/DC, The Foo Fighters (especially as they played 'Holidays in Cambodia' by The Dead Kennedy’s - a firm Kirkster favourtite), and admits to been ‘blown away’ by U2 at the Don Valley.
Drummers that he admires are: Nicko McBrain ‘Iron Maiden’, Neil Pert ‘Rush’, Roger Taylor ‘Queen’, Lars Ulrich ‘Metallica’, Adam Clayton ‘U2’ and of course Uncle Dave Grohl from ‘The Foo Fighters’.
